About

At Finding Light Psychotherapy, I believe that even in life’s most difficult moments, there is the possibility of light. Each person carries the strength to move through challenges, reconnect with themselves, and grow in meaningful ways. Together, we’ll navigate your journey with compassion, curiosity, and care—helping you find clarity, connection, and your way forward.

Values

Kindness

Kindness is at the heart of how I connect with others. I truly believe that if you can be anything in this world, be kind—because everyone is carrying something we may not see. In our work together, I strive to create a gentle, supportive space where you feel safe to be yourself, explore your experiences, and move forward at your own pace.
Inclusivity

I am committed to creating a space where all identities, backgrounds, and experiences are welcomed, respected, and affirmed. You deserve to feel safe, seen, and valued exactly as you are.
Collaboration

Therapy is not something done to you—it’s something we build together. I value your voice, your experiences, and your goals, and we’ll work side by side to find what feels most helpful and meaningful for you.
Connection

A strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. I prioritize building a genuine, trusting connection where you feel heard, understood, and supported throughout your journey.
Compassion

I believe that healing begins in a space where you feel genuinely cared for. Compassion means meeting you with understanding, patience, and without judgment—especially in the moments that feel the heaviest.
Growth

I believe that even in difficult moments, there is potential for growth and change. Together, we’ll work toward greater clarity, resilience, and a deeper understanding of yourself—helping you move forward in a way that feels right for you.

My Vision

My mission is to offer a warm, compassionate, and inclusive space where you feel safe to explore your experiences and feel truly seen and heard. I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, helping you build connection and find clarity, strength, and light—even in difficult moments.

Meet Stephanie

Hello, it's so nice to meet youI'm Stephanie,   founder of Finding Light Psychotherapy Services.

My passion for helping others has been at the heart of my journey for as long as I can remember. I deeply believe in normalizing conversations around mental health and creating spaces where people feel genuinely cared for, accepted, and safe to be themselves—especially during life’s more challenging moments.

I began my career over 11 years ago as an Early Childhood Educator, working closely with children and families. Through those experiences, I began to notice a growing need for meaningful mental health support. Alongside my already strong desire to help break the stigma surrounding mental health, this realization led me to pursue a new path as a psychotherapist. Since then, I’ve completed my Bachelor’s degree and am now nearing the completion of my Master’s.

Being a wife and a mom has also deeply shaped who I am—both personally and professionally. It’s strengthened my understanding of how important mental well-being, self-care, and mindfulness truly are. I’ve learned that taking care of ourselves allows us to show up more fully for the people we love, and this has inspired my desire to help others do the same in their own lives.

Outside of my work, I feel most grounded when I’m in nature. I have a love for photography, and I’m often drawn to the quiet beauty of the night sky—the stars, the moon, the northern lights—and natural elements like trees, fall leaves, water, rocks and especially amethyst. These moments of stillness and connection are where the name Finding Light was born. To me, it represents the idea that even in darker or heavier times, there is always light to be found—and sometimes, we just need support in learning how to see it.

I’m so glad you’re here, and I'd be honoured to be part of your journey.
